Businesses ("employers") use Googlelance to find, hire and work with qualified professionals with specialized skills. Service professionals ("providers") use Googlelance to meet customers, produce quality work and get paid for doing what they do best.

How Googlelance Works for Employers
It's free for employers (sometimes called "buyers") to sign up on Googlelance. Once registered, employers can begin working with a provider in one of two ways.

Post your job or list the skills needed, while setting a timeline and a budget range. Providers will offer their services in the form of proposals. The employer then reviews the proposals, interacts with the prospective providers, and then awards the job to the provider of their choosing.
Browse the searchable network of providers, view portfolios and performance ratings from other Googlelancers they have worked with. Once the employer has found providers with the skills they need, they can invite the providers to submit a proposal on their job.

How Googlelance Works for Providers
Providers join Googlelance by selecting a membership plan that is right for them. Membership plans range from free trial memberships to paid memberships.

Once the membership plan is chosen, providers set-up a profile to showcase their skills and services. Providers can upload samples of past work, list credentials and get their skills certified by taking skills tests administered by Googlelance. Browse Skills Central and discover the wide range of skills offered by Googlelancers in all fields.

Providers find work by browsing the open jobs posted by employers, and submitting proposals for the work that interests them.

Employers and Providers Work Together
Once the work is awarded to the selected provider and both parties agree on business terms, the employer will typically "fund" the project by putting money into Googlelance Escrow. This ensures the money is available to pay the provider upon completion of agreed upon milestones.

At this point, the work gets started.

At the conclusion of the work (and sometimes upon completion of interim milestones) the provider gets paid for the results delivered.
